THE LUXURY:
"Make it bigger, make it bigger, make it bigger."
2005- The Luxury forms from the ashes of singer Jason Dunn's previous band, The Halogens.
2006- with the addition of Justin "Pez" Day and Daanen "Billy Dee" Krouth on guitar, the permanent lineup of the band takes shape.
2007- the debut album, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, is recorded by the band and released independently, cruising into the CMJ top 200 and garnering airplay on over 150 stations in the US.
2008- the band is selected by Coldplay to open their August show at Boston Garden, uses the money to buy plane tickets to California, and embarks on an 8-date mini-tour/vacation, while making home movies for the folks back home.
2009- the band wins the 31st Annual WBCN Rock 'n' Roll Rumble, affording them thousands in cash and prizes and the ability to maintain their independence while recording their second record at some of New England's best recording studios.

The Luxury's self-recorded and independently released debut (2007's "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things") was a success on college radio nationwide (spinning on over 150 college stations across the land) and cracked the CMJ charts for several weeks. The band also found their tongue-in-cheek "Malcontent" video featured on Fuse TV, ultimately capturing the attention of Coldplay, who selected The Luxury to open August 2008's show at TD Banknorth Garden.
Boston Music Award nominees for Best Rock Act of 2009 and winners of the 31st Annual WBCN Rock and Roll Rumble, The Luxury released the follow-up to ...Nice Things, "In the Wake of What Won't Change" July 11th 2009 at Boston's Paradise Rock Club, and the early months of 2010 see the band already expanding their performance circuit and radio reach as the story continues...
